No More Room in Hell 2 Broadway Map Guide: NYC Streets, Subways & Sewers
Broadway dropped in patch 0.5.0 (July 2025) as the sequel's first map outside Pennsylvania: New York City in the aftermath of a botched extraction. It's the fastest, highest-pressure Objective map in the roster — built, in Torn Banner's words, to test "team coordination, player adaptability, and nerves of steel" — and it deliberately continues the legacy of the Broadway maps from the original No More Room in Hell, rebuilt with a strong focus on urban realism.
What defines the map
- Three vertical layers: city streets, subway tunnels, and the Queens sewer system — runs move between them, and each layer fights differently (streets = sightlines and Runners; tunnels and sewers = chokepoints and darkness).
- Multiple midgame and ending scenarios: unlike the fixed finales of the Pennsylvania maps, Broadway rolls different scenario paths for replayability. Two runs can end in genuinely different places.
- Recorded landmarks: the Diner (1.0 added a rooftop shortcut after the full loop), the Courthouse (a C4 objective — 1.0 spaced the charges out), the Movie Theatre (zombie-pressure flow retuned at 1.0), and the train extraction with its helicopter cinematic.
Broadway in both games — read this before following guides
Search results mix two games freely. The original NMRiH's Broadway (and Broadway 2) were objective classics with fixed door codes; the sequel's Broadway is a new map where codes generate per run (see the door codes guide). If a walkthrough mentions a fixed code or a layout that doesn't match the layered NYC structure above, it's describing the 2011 game, not this one.
Run advice
- The underground layers are grab territory: keep stamina above the grab-minigame threshold and carry a one-hander with your flashlight up (see weapons).
- Unsuppressed gunfire on the streets pulls Runners from blocks away — Broadway is where the suppressor meta earns its keep.
- Scenario variety means loot routes shift run to run; treat the Diner and Courthouse as anchor points and adapt between them.
