No More Room in Hell 2 Door Codes: How They Work & Where to Find Them
Quick answer: there is no universal code list. Every door, gate and keypad code in No More Room in Hell 2 is generated fresh for your run — a code that worked in someone's video will not work in your game. Any site or video claiming to list "working door codes" is describing the old original No More Room in Hell (which did have fixed map codes), not NMRiH2. What you actually need is the in-run process for finding your code, which is consistent every time and covered below.
How the code system works
Codes appear on local keypads and terminals throughout every Objective map — secured rooms, gates, store freezers, back offices. The rule is the same everywhere: the code is always somewhere in the room chain before the lock, on a note, computer, or codebook placed for that run. The Power Plant's control room, for example, has a codebook next to its terminal: read the codebook, follow exactly what the terminal asks, and enter the digits it gives you.
A version note, because most code videos are from Early Access: the old Power Plant "three radios → entry code" alternative start that many guides describe was an EA-era scenario. The 0.7.0 Hospital update replaced it with bio-scanner objectives, and the 1.0 Armageddon notes removed that initial scenario entirely — so if you're following a 2024–2025 walkthrough and can't find the radios, that's why. In 1.0 you push Critical Points of Interest to advance, and any keypad codes you meet are generated inside your run as described above.
Power Plant codes
The map most people search codes for. Progress runs through the Critical POI chain toward the plant entrances; inside, the final stretch runs through the control room — codebook first, then the terminal, in the order the terminal demands.
Field Hospital code: the "hospital" players search for is the Field Hospital, one of Power Plant's six Critical Points of Interest (alongside Sluice Gate, Sawmill, Ranger Station, Checkpoint and Train Station). When it's one of your two rolled Critical POIs, its objective chain gates higher-tier gear — work the marked objectives and the access opens; any code it asks for is placed within the hospital's own rooms for that run.
Pottsville, Lewiston, Broadway, Beaulieu Hospital & Raven Rock
The other five maps follow the same logic — powered locks, keypads on secured rooms (store freezers, back offices, vaults), and codes placed on nearby notes, computers or codebooks for that run. Raven Rock shipped with 1.0 Armageddon and community mapping of its objective chains is still filling in; per-run codes behave the same way there. Per-map layouts and objective chains are covered in our map guides.
"Error code 30005" is not a door code
If you searched a code and landed here because the game won't launch: error 30005 is an
Easy Anti-Cheat startup error (CreateService failed), not a gameplay code. The
usual fixes are: verify game files on Steam, reinstall Easy Anti-Cheat from the game's
EasyAntiCheat folder, and make sure no security software is blocking the EAC
service, then reboot and relaunch.
Heading in for a code run? Bring the right loadout — check the weapons tier list — and read the map overviews so you know where the radio points and Critical POIs sit.
